Release Schedule

GDPR related feature categories will be incrementally launching per the schedule below:

Thursday March 1, 2018

Consent Collection - All five consumer rights capture methods (API, JS Consent Tag, SDK, Consent File, and Salesforce DMP UI) are available to capture consent. For more information on how to integrate with the various methods, please reference the following help center documentation.

Monday May 14, 2018

Backfill - If you chose to use backfill functionality, these jobs have been executed and the results are visible in the stats screen within the Consumer Rights Management UI. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Friday May 18, 2018

Analytics Consent Respect - Analytics and data science reports throughout the product will only process data for users that have consented to analytics. Depending on the size of your consented populations, you may notice changes in the outputs of certain reports. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Consumer Rights Management Permissions - Admin users may grant permission to other users to access the Manage > Consumer Rights section of the platform to allow configuration of default settings, manage consumer rights requests, and view consent summary and distribution. Grant access by modifying the account permissions and selecting the 'Consumer Rights Management' checkbox.

Monday May 21, 2018

Data Collection Consent Respect - SDK and Control tag data capture methods will be checking for consent from the user before firing any data collection infrastructure. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Analytics Consent Respect - Segment Processing - All segment processing will be filtered based on analytics consent. If a user has not consented to analytics, that user will not show up in the segment. Please note, as some reports run using segments, you may notice changes in various insights from reports due to changes in segment populations. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Cross Device Consent Respect - All deterministic and predictive device graphs are constrained by cross-device consent. You may see changes in people populations within the UI as well as in the size of CDIM extension segments. These changes have to do with the size of your cross-device consent population. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Targeting Consent Respect - All segments sent to partners are filtered based on targeting consent. You may notice changes to the number of targetable users in the activation console. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Data Sharing Consent Respect - All segments sold or shared through data studio will be filtered based on data sharing consent. You may notice changes to segment sizes in the data studio seller/buyer consoles. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Retroactive Data Deletion - If you have selected this configuration, the DMP will begin deleting data passed to the platform for users that have not consented to data collection. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Wednesday May 23, 2018

Data Portability - The DMP will start executing data portability jobs per requests submitted to the system. Data will show up in S3 within 14 days from the request date. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Data Deletion - The DMP will start executing data deletion jobs per requests submitted to the system. Data will be deleted from the DMP within 90 days of your initial request or 90 days from the go live date if the request was made before data deletion was enabled. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

First Party Imports - First party imports will only ingest data for users that have consented to data collection. If you are submitting consent via a file, it must be received one day in advance of the first party import being executed. For more information on this functionality, please reference the following help center documentation.

Activation Partner Updates

Refresh Method

The DMP currently supports several integration types with activation partners. Each activation partner chooses an integration method based on what makes sense for that partner. For activation partners that currently integrate purely via incremental refreshes, there is a known limitation as it relates to respecting consent. Because the incremental integration method only supports the adding of users and segments, the DMP cannot instruct the activation partner to remove a user if that user moves from an opt in state to an opt out state. This limits the DMP ability to strictly respect changes in consent over time.

We have made all activation partners aware of this limitation, reminded them of their options, and encouraged them to change integration methods. However, this is a decision that activation partners make independently. We will continue to support incremental refresh integrations, but will implement your choice at any time to disable a particular activation partner. If this is something you would like to do, please reach out to your CSG representative.

Activation partners using incremental refresh will appear on the list below, which we will update as necessary:

  1. Eyeview
  2. Adroll
  3. Aki
  4. Avocet
  5. Casale
  6. Dstillery
